Pass: 50 out of 100 in a subject. A candidate scoring at least 45 in each subject with an aggregate of 50% across all subjects in a single attempt also completes the examination. Passed subjects stay as credits within the time limit.
Time limit: 5 attempts within 3 years from the first registration, whichever comes first — the attempts need not be consecutive, and an attempt counts once you apply.
Fees: ₹5,000 for the first attempt and ₹1,300 for each later attempt, plus convenience charges and taxes; registering after the first week of the window costs ₹100–₹200 more.
Class: First Class needs 60% aggregate with a pass in every subject at the first physical attempt; First Class with Distinction needs 70% aggregate and 60+ in each subject.
CAIIB is open to IIBF members who have completed JAIIB (or Part 1 of the Associate Examination), with their membership subscription paid up.
