By Swarnakshi Jha (ex-banker) · Updated 29 October 2026
Advanced Bank Management (ABM) is the first paper of the December cycle — statistics for banking decisions, human resources management, credit management and compliance and corporate governance. Below is the complete unit map of the IIBF syllabus, and for every unit a free page with the key facts, five solved questions and the traps; the CAIIB Mock Centre holds 4,600+ questions on this paper.

Try ABM before you buy anything. The free CAIIB demo opens Units 1–2 of every paper, a 60-question 1-hour test in each paper and BFM Full-Length Paper 1 — scored, explained, with Smart Revision of your mistakes. Register with your e-mail; no card needed.
Read the unit, then test it the same day. Each unit page above ends in five questions; the free demo and the Mock Centre continue with the rest. A unit counts as "done" only when your accuracy on it holds up a week later — that is what Smart Revision checks.
Mock early. One ABM full-length paper a week in exam conditions — caselets and key-in numericals included — then review every wrong answer against the unit it came from. Time pressure is the thing books cannot teach.
Know what moved after the textbook. 21 units in this paper carry a rule or figure that changed since the textbook was printed; each unit page shows the change, its date and the official source. CAIIB examines developments up to the 30 June 2026 cut-off.
Use the calendar. ABM opens the cycle on Sunday 6 December. Its Module A is pure statistics — averages to regression, probability and sampling — so make the formulas reflexes in November rather than in the last week.
