Staffing: meaning, functions, objectives and nature — staffing estimates, recruits, develops and keeps the people an organisation needs at every level; it is a distinct, all-pervasive function done by every manager.
Facets, significance, systems approach and recruitment — recruitment attracts, selection rejects and training builds; staffing is an open system, and recruitment runs through fifteen stages and six types.
Selection and training — selection filters applicants through eight steps to an appointment on probation; training closes skill gaps on or off the job.
