By Swarnakshi Jha (ex-banker) · Updated 20 September 2026
Retail Banking & Wealth Management (RBWM) is the last paper of the cycle — retail products, credit scoring, recovery, digital channels, CRM, marketing, wealth management, tax planning and home loans. Below is the complete unit map of the IIBF syllabus, and for every unit a free page with the key facts, five solved questions and the traps — drawn from the 1,912 questions on this paper in our Mock Centre.
Paper 4 · 29 November 2026~100 MCQs · 100 marks · 2 hoursNo negative marking30 units · 1,912 solved MCQs
Not sure how ready you are for RBWM?Take the free 10-question test (real exam interface, instant explanations) — if RBWM is your weak paper it recommends the single-subject pass instead of the full bundle.
Read the unit, then test it the same day. Each unit page above ends in five questions; the demo and the Mock Centre continue with the rest. A unit counts as "done" only when your accuracy on it holds up a week later — that is what Smart Revision checks.
Mock first from September. One RBWM mock a week in exam-simulation mode, then review every wrong answer against the unit it came from. Time pressure is the thing books cannot teach.
Keep one sheet of drift-prone figures. 9 units in this paper carry rule changes since the textbook; each unit page shows the textbook figure and the current one side by side. Re-read the sheet the morning of 29 November 2026.
Use the calendar. RBWM is the last paper, 29 November, the day after AFM — rapid revision of figures (limits, LTVs, tax slabs) is all the time allows.

When is the JAIIB RBWM paper in the November 2026 cycle?
Retail Banking & Wealth Management is Paper 4 of the November 2026 cycle, on 29 November 2026 (IIBF's published date). Like every JAIIB paper it is online, about 100 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks in 2 hours, with no negative marking. The passing mark is 50 in the subject (or 45 with a 50% aggregate across all four papers in one attempt).
Which RBWM units have changed because of new law or RBI rules?
Since the textbook was printed, rules behind questions in 9 units have changed; on those unit pages the affected questions carry a "Law update, September 2026" line giving both the textbook answer and the current position (e.g. Unit 6 — Product Development Process; Unit 8 — Important Retail Liability Products; Unit 9 — Important Retail Asset Products). The exam still follows the textbook unless a question says "currently" — our unit pages show which is which.
